Ecuadorian plantation teak in short lengths. Choose the exact board size. Ships by parcel.
The size class small-shop makers actually want — knife scales, cutting and charcuterie boards, box and drawer stock, inlay and banding, turning blanks, instrument and model work. Short enough to ship anywhere in the country without freight.
You are buying a specific board
Pick the length and width from the dropdown and the price is that board. Not an average, not a bundle, not a board foot of something unspecified. A 3 ft × 5½ in board is 1.375 board feet at 4/4 nominal, and it costs $24.75. Order two and you get two of them.
Every size below is counted from the supplier packing list, piece by piece. When a size sells out it says so, because the count is real.

Specification
- Species: Tectona grandis, Ecuadorian plantation grown
- Kiln-dried — 100 percent, with documentation
- Thickness: ¾ in, 13/16 in, 7/8 in or 1 in depending on the board. Priced at 4/4 nominal in every case, so thickness variation is in your favour, never against it.
- Character: heartwood-dominant on both faces, where most plantation teak on the market is sapwood-heavy
- Grade: no NHLA claim — grade it yourself, in your hand or at our dock. Natural colour variation, mineral streak, knots and figure are inherent to the material and are disclosed rather than hidden.
How the price is calculated
Width in inches × length in feet ÷ 12 = board feet at 4/4 nominal, × $18.00 per board foot. A 4 ft × 7½ in board is 2.5 bf and prices at $45.00. The arithmetic is on the page so you can check it.
Shipping and pickup
Parcel shipping from Lincolnwood, Illinois, rated by weight at checkout. Teak is dense — we weighed it ourselves at 42 lb per cubic foot, so a 3 ft × 5½ in board runs about 4¼ pounds. Parcel starts at $16.00 for the first 8 lb, which covers roughly six to eight short boards, so it pays to order the sizes you need in one go. The exact rate appears before you pay.
Will-call pickup is free, by appointment. We bring your boards out to the dock. You see them in your hand before you buy — look them over, count them, and they do not leave until you are satisfied.
Ordering more than about 12 boards? That crosses 35 pounds and freight beats parcel. Call (773) 584-7334 or email info@platinumluxuryteak.com and we will quote it by actual weight.
Illinois and multi-state resellers: send a completed Certificate of Resale and your purchase is invoiced tax-exempt.
