These terms govern purchases from Platinum Luxury Teak LLC through platinumluxuryteak.com. By placing an order or a deposit, you agree to them.

What we sell
We are a direct importer. We sell two lines.
Live-edge slab tables. Single-slab Saman, also known as monkeypod. These are hardwood slab tables — they are not teak, and we do not describe them as teak. Each table is a unique numbered piece, 2½ inches thick, on a black steel base, factory-finished. Slab finishes vary piece to piece; call and we will confirm which sheen a given slab carries.
Teak lumber. Legally imported, plantation-grown Ecuadorian teak — CBP-entered, duty-paid. Sold by the board foot in four length classes, or as a bundle, lot, or whole-lot purchase.
We make no FSC, CITES, or third-party certification claims for any product.
How board feet are measured
Lumber is published, quoted, and invoiced on 4/4 nominal board feet — surface measure multiplied by nominal thickness, the standard measure throughout the North American hardwood trade. Tally at loading, with your representative present, governs the invoiced quantity. You pay for what is counted onto the truck.
Product descriptions and photographs
Most tables are photographed individually, and each such listing says the photographs are of that slab. Where a listing still uses representative photography, it says so. Every listing publishes that slab's own measured dimensions. Lumber pages use representative photography of the class. Wood is a natural material: knots, voids, checks (lacquered in place, never filled), color variation, mineral streaking, and irregular edges are inherent to it and are disclosed rather than hidden. Screen color rendering varies, and dimensions taken across a natural live edge are measured at three points and stated as a range. If exact appearance matters to you, inspect the material at our dock by appointment before purchasing.
Pricing and availability
Prices are in US dollars and may change without notice. Prices shown on product pages are single-order retail. Trade and volume pricing is quoted separately and is materially different. Because table inventory is one-of-a-kind, a piece may be reserved by another buyer before your order is confirmed. If a piece becomes unavailable after you order, we will notify you and refund you in full.
Listed table prices are for the finished table, base included. Delivery and freight are not included in the table price. White-glove delivery in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin is free on any purchase or deposit placed by 15 October 2026; otherwise it is a separate line, normally $650 to $750. Freight outside those three states is quoted per order.
Reservations, deposits, and payment
One-of-a-kind pieces may be reserved with a deposit, which removes that piece from our available inventory. The balance is due before release. Deposit and cancellation terms are set out in our Refund and Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms.
All sales are final
We do not accept returns or exchanges. Claims for transit damage, an undisclosed material defect, or a piece that differs significantly from its description must be made within 48 hours of delivery or pickup, as set out in our Refund and Returns Policy.
Sales tax
Illinois sales tax is collected on taxable sales where required. Buyers purchasing for resale must provide a valid Illinois CRT-61 resale certificate, or the equivalent from their state, before an exempt sale can be completed.
Trade and wholesale
Trade and wholesale pricing is available to qualified businesses on inquiry and is not published publicly. Whole-lot and container-lot inquiries are handled individually.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability arising from any purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the item. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited under law.
Care and use
Solid wood is affected by humidity and direct sunlight. Use coasters and trivets, avoid prolonged direct sun and heat, wipe spills promptly, and clean with a soft damp cloth rather than harsh chemicals. Damage from misuse, environmental conditions, or improper cleaning is not covered.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Cook County, Illinois.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version posted at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
