Our Promise & Policies

Every table we sell is a one-of-a-kind slab, photographed and described honestly. Every board foot of lumber is sold on tally, counted in front of you. We would rather lose a sale than have a buyer open a crate and find something other than what we described.

All sales are final — with a 48-hour inspection window

Because each slab is one of one, all sales are final. But we never want you buying blind. Product pages carry detailed photographs and honest notes on knots, voids, checks and character marks — lacquered in place, never filled — and you are welcome to inspect any piece at our dock by appointment before you decide.

When your piece arrives, take a good look. If anything was damaged in transit, or does not match its description, reach out within 48 hours with photographs and we will make it right. Natural characteristics of solid wood — color variation, mineral streak, knots, irregular live edges — are inherent to the material and are disclosed rather than hidden; they are not grounds for a claim. Lumber is sold on tally

Quantities are published, quoted, and invoiced on 4/4 nominal board feet — the standard measure throughout the North American hardwood trade. Tally at loading, with your representative present, governs the invoiced quantity. You pay for what is counted onto the truck.

Interior use

Our teak and Saman are sold for interior applications. We make no exterior, marine or weather-resistance claim and do not sell our material for exterior use.

Will-call pickup and freight

Pickup at our Lincolnwood dock is free, by appointment. We bring your material out, you inspect it and count it, and it does not leave until you are satisfied. Delivery and freight are always quoted separately and never hidden inside the price — white-glove delivery for slab tables in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin, and common-carrier freight beyond that and for lumber orders. White-glove delivery is free in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin through 15 October 2026; normally it runs $650–$750, quoted per order on distance, access and size, and is billed separately from the piece. Trade and resale

Resale certificates are accepted. Illinois and multi-state resellers send a completed CRT-61 or their state's equivalent and the purchase is invoiced tax-exempt. Trade pricing is quoted and is materially different from the retail per-board-foot figures shown on product pages — see Trade & Wholesale. There is no minimum.
