Live-Edge Conference & Boardroom Tables, In Stock in Chicago
Single-slab conference tables you can inspect before you buy
We import single-slab live-edge tables in Saman (Samanea saman, also called monkeypod) from Ecuador and hold them at our dock in Lincolnwood, Illinois. Twenty slabs are in stock now; fifteen of them run nine feet and longer. Each is one continuous piece of wood, finished and mounted on a black steel base, and each is numbered with its measured dimensions. If you are specifying a boardroom, a private dining room or a reception space in Chicago, you can see the actual slab before a purchase order is issued.
Legally imported Ecuadorian Saman (Samanea saman) — CBP-entered, duty-paid.

- Widths 32 to 50 inches, thickness 2½ inches.
- Finish: lacquered. Some slabs are matte, some gloss; the sheen is fixed per slab; tell us which you prefer and we will confirm which slabs carry it before you commit.
- Base: black steel base, factory-finished, included. Four base designs: Trestle, Chevron, Cross and Lattice. Adjustable leveling feet.
- Every slab is numbered with its measured length, width and thickness.
Photography on the collection page is currently representative of the group. Per-slab photographs are available on request; tell us the slab numbers you are considering and we will send them.
Three at boardroom length, as a starting point
Every table is listed individually, but if you are specifying a full-length boardroom top these three are a useful place to begin:
- Slab No. 01 — a 10 ft live-edge conference table, 35 to 44 inches across the live edge.
- Slab No. 03 — a 10 ft single-slab monkeypod table, 35 to 46 inches, and one of the widest tops at boardroom length.
- Slab No. 04 — a 10 ft live-edge conference table, 34 to 45 inches.
Tell us the room and we will tell you which of the group fits it.
Why a single slab for a boardroom
Most conference tables of this length are veneer over a substrate or several boards joined edge to edge. A single slab is a different object: one piece of wood, one grain pattern, no seams to open with seasonal movement, and a thickness that reads as solid from any seat in the room. Saman is a dense tropical hardwood with a pronounced contrast between dark heartwood and lighter sapwood along the live edge, which is why it is the species most often used for this kind of table.
The lacquer finish is a working surface. Laptops, coffee and paper are what it is built for. Standard care is a damp cloth; no oils or waxes are needed.
For architects, designers and procurement
- Hold on approval. A specific slab can be held for an active design project while the client reviews it. Ask for the slab number and we will take it off the floor.
- Dimensions you can draw to. Because each slab is measured and numbered, you can place the exact piece in your plan rather than a nominal size.
- Contract pricing. Retail prices are published on each product page; trade and volume pricing is quoted separately and is materially different. See our trade page.
- Paperwork. Resale certificates accepted (Illinois CRT-61 or state equivalent). W-9 on request. No minimum order.
- Specifying more than one. A restaurant fit-out or a multi-room office can draw from the group; we will send per-slab photographs and dimensions so you can match or contrast lengths and base designs.
Inspection, pickup and delivery
Will-call at our Lincolnwood dock
We are open seven days a week, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, by appointment — weekends included, which is when most people can actually get to a warehouse. Will-call pickup is free. You or your representative inspect the slab before paying. Bring a truck with a liftgate or a crew; these are heavy pieces, and we will advise on handling when you book the appointment.
White-glove delivery
For Chicagoland, Northwest Indiana and Southern Wisconsin we arrange white-glove delivery: the table is brought into the room, the base is set and leveled, and packaging is removed. Through 15 October 2026 that service is free in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. This is a limited promotion: white-glove delivery normally runs $650–$750, quoted per order — stairs versus elevator, distance from the dock to the room, certificate-of-insurance requirements and after-hours access all move the number — and it returns to that price after 15 October 2026. Delivery is never bundled into the table price, so you see the two figures on their own.
Beyond the region
Freight is quoted for destinations outside the delivery area. Tell us the delivery address and whether the site has a dock or a loading constraint.
Access is the question that ends most conference-table conversations, so we wrote the answer down: the doorway, turn and elevator measurements to take before you commit.
