A family import business, run out of one warehouse in Lincolnwood.

Platinum Luxury Teak is a direct importer. We buy container-direct from Ecuador, clear it ourselves, and warehouse it here in Cook County. One of us works on the ground in Ecuador; the other runs the freight, the import, and the warehouse in Chicago. That is the whole company — which is why when you call, you get the person who can actually answer.

Why “in stock in Chicago” actually means something

Most sellers of fine teak and live-edge tops quote three to six weeks, because their inventory is still overseas. Ours is not. A full container of teak across four length classes, and nineteen single-slab Saman tops, are on the floor in Lincolnwood right now. Nothing is drop-shipped, back-ordered, or made to order. We can move quickly because the wood is already here.

Legal, documented, and one of one

Our teak is legally imported, plantation-grown Ecuadorian teak — CBP-entered, duty-paid. Our Saman slab tops are legally imported Ecuadorian Saman (Samanea saman) — CBP-entered, duty-paid. We make no FSC, CITES, or third-party certification claims — only the entry paperwork, which we will show you.

Every table is a single slab: one tree, one top, one of one. No two are alike.

About our photographs

Every photograph on this site is our own — our warehouse, our stock, our tables and our bases. Nothing is a stock image. Every table is photographed as it is. Where a room is shown, the room is rendered and labelled; the table never is. Individual photography of each numbered slab is still in progress, so the images on a table listing show the quality, finish and character of the group rather than that one specific numbered piece. Every listing says so plainly, and every listing publishes that slab's own measured dimensions. Call us about a particular number and we will tell you what we can show you.

How we would rather do business

Real photographs, real inventory, honest answers, and a person on the phone. Lumber is sold on tally — we bring your material out to the dock, you inspect it and count it yourself, and it does not leave until you are satisfied with what is on the truck. We would rather you grade it in your own hands than take our word for it.
