Reserve a Slab — $500 Refundable Deposit

Takes the slab off the floor and puts your name on it.

Choose the slab number below and place a $500 deposit. I take that piece out of the selling stock and hold it for you. While your deposit stands I will not sell it to anyone else, and anyone who asks about it is told it is reserved.

The terms, in plain words

• Refundable in full at any time before your balance is invoiced. If you change your mind, you get the $500 back — no restocking fee, no argument, no conditions.
• Applied to the purchase price. It is not a fee. A $5,600 table with a deposit down has $5,100 left to pay.
• Balance is due before the piece is released for pickup or delivery.
• Free delivery is held too. A deposit placed on or before 15 October 2026 keeps free white-glove delivery in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin, whenever you schedule it.
• Once the balance is invoiced and paid, the ordinary terms take over: all sales final, with a 48-hour inspection window (see Policies).

Condition — every piece is sold as-is

Natural voids, bark inclusions and checks are lacquered in place, not filled. That is deliberate: most of the slab market pours tinted epoxy into a void and calls it a repair, and we finish the wood as the tree grew it.

We make no representation about the condition of any piece. Every slab is one of one and carries its own character. Come and put a tape and your hands on it, or ask us for photographs and measured detail of the exact piece, and decide for yourself. We will show you what is there — and the deposit exists precisely so that you can look before you commit the balance.

We do not offer a fill service on any piece. If you want a void filled after you own it, any competent finisher can do it — ask for a clear pour rather than a tinted one, and ask them to level it flush rather than proud.

Delivery is its own line — and free in three states through 15 October

White-glove delivery is free in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin through 15 October 2026 — into the building, into the room, assembled, packaging removed. Normally $650 to $750, and never folded into the price of the table. Beyond those three states we crate and quote common-carrier freight. Pickup or delivery is scheduled when your order is confirmed. What happens after you place it

I call or text you the same day at the number on your order, confirm which slab you have reserved, and answer anything still open — measured dimensions, base design, delivery access, timing. If you want to come and see it before going further, that is exactly what the deposit is for. We are open seven days a week, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, by appointment, at the warehouse in Lincolnwood, Illinois.

One deposit holds one slab. Sizes shown below are the measured length where the piece has been taped, and the nominal length where it has not.
