Purchase

Each table is one of one, so all sales are final. There is a 48-hour claim window on delivery or pickup: if a piece is damaged in transit, has an undisclosed material defect, or differs significantly from its description, send photographs within 48 hours and we will make it right. The natural characteristics of solid wood (colour variation, mineral streak, knots, voids, checks and an irregular live edge) are disclosed, not hidden, and are not grounds for a claim. Reserving a table

A $500 deposit holds a specific table in your name. It is refundable in full until your balance is invoiced and is applied to the purchase price. The balance is due before the piece is released.

Trade and resale

Resale certificates are accepted: send a completed Illinois CRT-61 or your state's equivalent and the purchase is invoiced tax-exempt. W-9 on request. Trade and volume pricing is quoted separately.

The tables

Condition

Sold as-is. Knots, voids, bark inclusions and checks are lacquered in place, not filled. We do not offer a fill service. We make no representation about the condition of any piece beyond its listing: inspect it in person, or ask for photographs and measured detail of the exact slab, and decide for yourself. There is no warranty beyond as-is.

Dimensions

Every top is a single slab of Saman (Samanea saman), also called monkeypod, 2½ in thick. Widths are given as a range because a natural edge is not straight. Unless a listing says it has been tape-measured, dimensions are from the shipping record, and we tape every piece with you before sale. Finished height is 30 in: a 27½ in base and a 2½ in slab.

Finish and base

Each top is professionally lacquered. Sheen varies from slab to slab (matte or gloss) and is stated on each listing where confirmed. Every table includes a black steel, factory-finished base with adjustable levelling feet, in one of four designs: cross, lattice, chevron or trestle. The design paired with a slab is confirmed with its photographs. A top can also be bought on its own. Each table receives a final finish inspection and touch-up before pickup or delivery.

Photographs

The table in every photograph is photographed as it is and is never altered. Rooms shown around our tables are digitally rendered to show each piece at scale in a finished space. Chairs, décor and anything else in a photograph are not included; each listing is one table with its base. Where a listing's photographs are representative rather than of that exact slab, the listing says so, and photographs of the slab itself are sent on request.

Interior use

Our tables and lumber are sold for interior use. We make no exterior, marine or weather-resistance claim.

Delivery and pickup

Delivery is never included in a table's price; it is its own line. White-glove delivery in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin (into the building, into the room, base assembled, packaging removed) normally runs $650–$750, quoted on distance, access and size. Through 15 October 2026 it is complimentary on any purchase or deposit placed by that date, whenever the delivery is scheduled. Beyond those three states we crate the piece and quote common-carrier freight. Sales are FOB our Lincolnwood dock.

Will-call pickup is free, by appointment, seven days a week, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Slab tops are heavy: bring two people, a vehicle that takes the length, and blankets or padding, as a lacquered top can mark. See Delivery and our Shipping Policy.

Teak lumber

Ecuadorian plantation teak (Tectona grandis) is sold by the board foot, published, quoted and invoiced on 4/4 nominal board feet. The tally taken at loading, with your representative present, governs the invoiced quantity. We make no NHLA grade claim; you are welcome to inspect and grade it on our dock. Prices shown online are single-order retail; trade and volume pricing is quoted.

Provenance

Our Saman and teak are legally imported from Ecuador, CBP-entered and duty-paid. Entry paperwork is shown on request. We make no FSC, CITES or third-party certification claim.
